João Valente

João Valente estudou Comunicação Social na Universidade Nova de Lisboa, mas deixou o curso em 1987 para fundar a SurfPortugal, a primeira publicação de surf portuguesa, onde esteve  durante quase 30 anos, começando como fotógrafo e acabando como de publisher, durante os quais elevou a revista a título de referência no panorama dos media de surf internacionais. Desde 2016, tem-se dedicado à escrita de argumentos e produção de conteúdos vídeo. Ministra a cadeira de Evolução Histórica da Performance de Surf no Curso de Treinadores Grau II na Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa. É editor convidado da revista Visão Surf, colunista em múltiplos sites da modalidade e comentador especializado no canal Sport TV. Atualmente, exerce as funções de produtor e jornalista no canal FUEL TV, onde também é responsável pela gestão do arquivo digital. Nas horas vagas, senta-se numa tasca virtual com os companheiros, Júlio Adler e Bruno Bocayuva, onde, por entre rodadas de imperiais digitais grava semanalmente o quase bem-sucedido Boia Podcast.

João Valente studied Social Communication at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, but left in 1987 to found SurfPortugal, the first Portuguese surf publication, where he worked for almost 30 years, starting as a photographer and ending as a publisher, during which time he elevated the magazine to become a benchmark in the international surf media scene. Since 2016, he has dedicated himself to writing scripts and producing video content. He teaches the subject of Historical Evolution of Surf Performance on the Grade II Coaching Course at Universidade Lusófona de Lisboa. He is a guest editor for Visão Surf magazine, a columnist on various surfing websites and a specialist commentator on the Sport TV channel. He currently works as a producer and journalist for FUEL TV, where he is also responsible for managing the digital archive. In his spare time, he sits in a virtual tavern with his companions, Júlio Adler and Bruno Bocayuva, where, between rounds of digital imperials, he records the almost successful Boia Podcast every week.

Nuno Lacerda

Nuno Lacerda, tem realizado projetos em vários Ateliers e Agências de Publicidade, desenvolvendo campanhas de imagem e comunicação para os mais diversos clientes. Como freelancer  tem desenvolvido trabalhos nas áreas de Design, Vídeo, Ilustração ou Multimédia, e na área da Animação, realizando e animando vários filmes entre obras comerciais ou de ficção, participando regularmente em concursos e festivais. É sócio fundador da Casa da Animação no Porto e colaborou com o Cinanima como júri do Festival. É professor nos cursos de Comunicação Audiovisual e Animação da Escola Artística Soares dos Reis.Licenciado em Design pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto, onde concluiu o Mestrado em Design da Imagem. Formado como docente para os cursos de Audiovisuais e de Multimédia pela Universidade Aberta, possui uma Pós-Graduação em Branding pelo IPAM, e em Multimédia pela Universidade Portucalense. Estudou Fotografia e Imagem na Muthesius Kunsthochschule em Kiel, Alemanha. Neste momento encontra-se a realizar a tese de Doutoramento em Design na Universidade do Porto.

Nuno Lacerda, has worked on projects for various Ateliers and Advertising Agencies, developing image and communication campaigns for a wide range of clients. As a freelancer, he has worked in the areas of Design, Video, Illustration and Multimedia, and in the area of Animation, directing and animating various films, including commercial and fiction works, and regularly taking part in competitions and festivals. He is a founding member of Casa da Animação in Porto and collaborated with Cinanima as a jury member. He teaches Audiovisual Communication and Animation at the Soares dos Reis Art School.
He has a degree in Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, where he completed a Master's degree in Image Design. Trained as a teacher for Audiovisual and Multimedia courses at the Universidade Aberta, he has a post-graduate degree in Branding from IPAM, and in Multimedia from the Universidade Portucalense. He studied Photography and Image at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule in Kiel, Germany. She is currently working on her PhD thesis in Design at the University of Porto.

Daniel Espírito Santo, is a self-taught photographer and filmmaker living in Peniche, Portugal.
His art is based on an infinite love of surfing, a constant search for simplicity and an insatiable hunger to travel.
His photographs are characterized by energizing landscapes, moments of happiness and an adventurous spirit.
He captures nature with boundless passion, presenting it with people, creating an emphatic and intimate atmosphere.
